Abstract

Recently, language has changed in everyday, especially in young language. The change is caused by progression of technology as communication media like internet. It is called chatting language. It is different with written communication that is number of word or expression. And they are especially used in communication. One of the new neologism which had goften morfologis process such as affixation and tented to show slang language. That indication is more large and tends to be decided the rightness because it doesn’t mesn that a chatter uses it is a wrong language. But chatting language is a type of language which is mindicated as a type of nonstandard language. Based on the some of phenomenons, this research was focused on the study of affixation on chatting language. In addition, this research studied on chatting language in the affixation pattern of neologism. The study induded the description, the types of neologism the affixation pattern of neologism. And a descriptive research was used as design of the study which was don’t through documentation method. The data that was studied was the fact in language usage and it was from written source in the transckription of chatting language. Furthermore, the data was neologism which was indicated to be able to study in the pattern of neologism. The result of this research which were about neologism on chatting language included (a) neologism by adding prefix, suffix, confix, simulfix, and those words were ngapain, gosipin, apaan, menulis, doain, pemalas, pendiam, nunggu, nangis, nanya, nulis, numpuk, etc, (b) affixation pattern of neologism those were N- + basic word (BI), N- + basic word (BJ), peN- + basic word, pe- + basic word, se- + basic word, ber- + basic word, di- + basic word (BI), di- + basic word (BA), dØ-, losing the second sound of the basic word, ter- + basic word, ke- + basic word, kØ- + basic word, meN- + basic word (BI), and meN- + basic word (BJ), basic word (BI) + -an, basic word (BJ) + -an, basic word (BA) + -an, spoken basic word + -an, basic word (BI) + -nya, basic word (BA) + -nya, abbrivated basic word + -nya, losing the second sound the basic word + -nya, basic word + lossing the last sound of suffix –nya, basic word + -in, N- + basic word + -in, di- + basic word + -in, ke- + basic word + -an, per- + basic word + -an, memper- + basic word + -kan, meN- + basic word + -kan, ter- + basic word + -kan, se- + basic word + -nya, se- + basic word + -e, while (c) the function of affix which is as the former of neologism such as, active verb, pasif verb, noun, adjektiva, adverb, word condition and interogative.
