Stress is a condition or situation depress with tense taste and worries assessed by individual can menace either health of physical and also his psychological, causing makes individual to overcome it and adapts accommodates self. With all abilities and excellence owned at acceleration student and the negative especially in overcoming assorted of stress that in the form of pressure coming from the side of school, teacher, environmental and old fellow, hence level of stress acceleration student tends to higher. As for reaction of stress experienced by acceleration student will affect at his psychological and physiological condition. To overcome stress is acceleration student does behavior of coping is focusing at problem (problem focused coping) and behavior of coping is focusing at emotion (emotion focused coping). Intention of this research is to know factors causing acceleration student to experience stress and form of behavior of coping applied by acceleration student in overcoming stress. This research applies descriptive qualitative method. Subject applied in the research that is acceleration student MAN 3 Kediri. In retrieval of subject is doing by screening by using scale stress (scale Bogardus). Data collecting technique applied by researcher is applied interview method and observation method as supporter result of interview. Interview addressed to subject, old fellow, friend and teacher. Observations doing in school, applied for equipment of data that have doing obtained. As for data analysis applied is analyzing is qualitative descriptiveness. From research, result done is obtainable that acceleration student experiences stress because of some factors either coming from within individual self (internal of sources) or outside individual (external of sources). The factor that is existence of heaping duty and activity causing feels difficult to divide time, comes under pressure and less self confidence at its(the ability, feels difficulty at Arab language subject, chemical and English, in fear of achievement declines and exit to become acceleration student, existence of friends who is clever causing feels competed and socialization unable to. Effort (behavior) coping done by acceleration student in overcoming stress that is behavior of coping is focusing at problem (problem focused coping) that is social confrontation and support from and behavior of coping is focusing at emotion (emotion focused coping) that is selfcontrol and reappraisal positively.
