Abstract

ABSTRACT OKKI IKRAR DEWA, 2020, 20131005031048, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Department of Government Science, Ecology Based Tourism Village Development (In Temas Sub-District, Temas Kota Batu District), Pembmbing I: Yana Safriana Hijri, S.IP., M.IP. : Advisor II: Dr. Saiman, M.Si The development of Temas-based Tourism Village is an innovation of tourist villages which originated from the idea of Temas residents, namely the Chairman of the RW and the village chief of Temas. Which in the beginning was a concept that wanted to create a clean, healthy and beautiful village environment which in the end made the village an economically valuable village in terms of tourism presented by the Temas village. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method using two types of descriptive research so that the explanations applied in this paper can be conveyed properly and easily understood. The data sources in qualitative research are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The location of the study was conducted in the Village District of Batu City in East Java. The results of this study indicate that the Ecological Based Village Temas has not received full support from the City Government of Batu in this case the Batu City Tourism Office. Lacking funding, low Human Resources is an obstacle in the development of the ecology-based tourist village. Participation of temas residents in these temples development activities is very important, because the level of awareness and mutual cooperation of residents is part of the element of success in managing and developing ecology-based tourist villages. From the findings in the field it can be concluded that the support from the Batu City Government is not yet maximal in terms of infrastructure, and the low level of Human Resources is a factor that supports the development of ecology-based tourist villages.
