Abstract

Recommendation system is a system that provides information and recommendations based on user needs. The recommendation system is usually used in a decision making system. The method that is often used in the recommendation system is collaborative filtering which focuses on adding up the rating of an item by looking at the user's rating history and producing a recommendation. Collaborative Filtering is divided into the first two user-based and item-based. Item based collaborative filtering is a recommendation method based on the similarity between rating ratings of a product that is rated. The research will use the adjusted cosine similarity algorithm as a calculation of similarity and the weighted sum algorithm as the predicted value of an item, and to test the accuracy of a recommendation system will be done by using the Means Absolute Error test.
