Abstract

C.V. Indra Ghozali is a company which producing machine. In producing its product, it is relied on the order (job order). In this time, this factory is facing internal problem issue job scheduling. In fulfilling customer�s order, it�s often happened delay in finishing job or out of maximum bounds (due date). So that, it can cause additional costs because of production delay and cause the increment of production cost. This research is done by scheme to minimize makespan, delay mean (tardiness mean) and production cost by using Heuristic Priority Dispatching Rule Shortest Processing Time method, SPT and Heuristic Priority Dispatching Rule Earliest Due Date method. By these methods, it is expected to be obtained correctly job scheduling, so that the factory can depress costs. From the application of Heuristic Priority Dispatching Rule Shortest Processing Time method, SPT, it is obtained the better job scheduling from the method which is used by the company in this time. Where in September 2007, the calculation of makespan by using the recently method is equal to 67,1633 hours; delay mean is equal to 3,346125 hours; total of idle time is equal to 153,3136 hours; total of production cost is equal to Rp. 24.008.227,8125. While by using Heuristic Priority Dispatching Rule Shortest Processing Time method, SPT, it is obtained the makespan calculation is equal to 61,3839 hour; delay mean is equal to 2,510475 hour; total of idle time is equal to 77,4542 hours; total of production cost is equal to Rp. 16.417.158,1875. So that, it is obtained the thrift at makespan equal to 5,7794 hour, and total cost produce equal to Rp. 7.591.069,625.
