Abstract
Treatment of dysentery is done by causative treatment. Petai plants contain the potential phenolic compounds as antioxidants. So, there needs to be research on "Effect of Various Concentrations of Petai Fruit Bark Extract (Parkia speciosa Hassk.) On the Inhibition Zone of Shigella dysentriae Bacteria: (used as a Study of Biology Learning Resources)" has a problem formulation of whether the effect of a fruit peel extract against the bacterial zone of Shigella dysenteriae. The purpose of this research is to find out if there is any influence on the skin extracts of the fruit to the bacterial zone of Shigella dysenteriae. This method of research is True Experimental Research using RAL. Tests are conducted by testing the normality and homogenity to determine normal and homogeneous data. Furthermore, the Anava one line analysis will have a significant value (0.00) of < 0.05. The research is conducted by observing Shigella dysentriae bacteria that have been given a variety of concentrations of petai skin extracts, including 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. The result of this research is on the introduction of Petai skin extract obtained the lowest average value at 5% concentration with an average diameter of 11.569 mm, and the highest average obtained from the skin of Petai fruit is at a concentration of 25% with an average diameter of 17.575 mm. While on average positive control of the diameter of 35, 925 and the negative control averages 0 mm diameter. It was concluded that the average concentration of 25% and positive control impeded the growth of the bacteria Shigella dysentriae.
