Abstract

Self-confidence was people motivation in order to do everthing they wanted. One of the factors that could figure self-confidence was appearance. To make a good appearance, ussually a person use a certain brand pr oduct. Generally, brand product that received easily by a society was global brand. It caused, the consuments supposed that a brand related with a good quality of product. These conditions could make the consuments were loyal to a certain brand product. This study intended to know thw correlation between brand loyalty Sophie Martin product toward students’ self -confidence in Economy Faculty of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The subjects of this study were 77 students in Economy Faculty of University of Muhammadiyah Malang.these subjects were chose based on certain criterions. This technique called purposive sampling technique. To collect the data, brand loyalty and self -confidence questionnaires were used as instrument. To analyze the data used product-moment correlation. From analizing showed that the value of r xy = 0,215 whith P > 0,05. the hypotesis that proposed in this study was rejected. It means that there was no correlation between brand loyalty Sophie Martin product toward students’ selfconfidence in Economy Faculty of University of Muhammadiyah Malang that was high brand loyalty Sophie Martin product was not followed by high students’ selfconfidence in Economy Faculty. There was no significant correlation between brand loyalty Sophie Martin product toward students’ self-confidence that was high brand loyalty Sophie Martin product was not followed by high students’ self-confidence in Economy Faculty of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. It proved that selfconfidence did not base by the usage of brand product but the self-confidence came up from the self- conscience.
