This research has a background because of we rewind how necessary the ability to communicate idea, thought, or opinion for the student. In KTSP curriculum, the competence of mathemathic that we want in mathemathic learning included concept understanding, knowledge and communication and problem solving. By communication both oral or writing can be hoped that it will bring student in to a deep understanding about mathemathic and can solve problems, even it’s about mathemathic itself or that have a relation with days life. This research is try to express in deep the ability of mathemathic’s communication by writing. This research use a qualitative approach. The data’s bringing method used writng test’s result. The result’s result shows that the student’s ability of mathemathic’s communication by writing is good. It can be showed from the ability to communicate the math’s concepts about 70% is in good criteria, the ability to communicate the math’s understanding abaout 60%, for the ability of math’s consistence about 68% and the ability to explain math’s notation about 72%. The ability of math’s communication of the student in SMP Negeri 2 Tempursari is in low category a competence to communicate math with percentage about 71%.
