Abstract

In Law No. 23 of 2011, zakat is a treasure that must be issued by a Muslim or business entity to be given to those entitled to receive it by Islamic law. In collecting and introducing zakat funds, a good transparency and accountability is needed so that the distribution of zakat funds reaches those who are entitled to receive them. So that it can control the level of public trust so that they can deposit their zakat funds in amil zakat institutions registered with the government. Transparency is a principle that guarantees access or freedom for everyone to obtain information while accountability is the responsibility of an agency for the mandate given.
