Abstract

This research with title “ Relationship between corporate governance implementation quality and debt ratio are companies that registered in Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI)”. The Purpose of this research is to examine relationship between corporate governance implementation quality and debt ratio. The object of this research are companies that registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and CGPI companies grade for 2007-2008 period that published from SWA sembada magazine. The sampel of this research are 32 companies. A measure of corporate governance implementation quality is CGPI score by IICG (Indonesian Institute of Corporate Governance). A measure of debt ratio are current debt to total asset (CD/TA), non current debt to total asset (NCD/TA), total debt to total asset (TD/TA), current debt to shareholder’s equity (CD/E), non current debt to shareholder’s equity (NCD/E) and total debt to shareholder’s equity (TD/E). The result of correlation analysis shows positive and significantly is four ratio having relation matching with hypothesis that is between CGPI score and CD/TA. CGPI score and CD/E. CGPI score and NCD/E. and between CGPI score and TD/E. This result supporting with research of Sayidah and Pujiati (2008).
