Abstract
HEC-RAS is an application program for both permanent and non-permanent flow modelling. One of the features in HEC-RAS program is lateral structure that can applied in water surface profile analysis on the dam side channel. Limitation of HECRAS in downstream boundary selection leads to water surface profile analysis unable to be applied on energy reducer, therefore water surface profile analysis went through launcher channel. Aims of this research are determining how big the difference of water surface elevation profile analysis using HEC-RAS program and manual calculation. The results of the water level profile analysis using HEC-RAS on the side channel of the Bajulmati Dam showed an elevation difference is 11,68% in Q1000 and 12,65% in QPMF.
