Abstract

The development of technology in the field of construction that aims to get a strong structure, safe and efficient. In the construction of a building, there are generally two types of material that are popular and commonly used as building construction planning, namely concrete and steel. The use of steel as a building construction material is increasingly developing so that new innovations such as the use of steel are combined with reinforced concrete or can also be called composite steel structures. In composite steel structure buildings take advantage of the superior properties of concrete and steel that work altogether. In this final project will be re-designing the structure of Ma'had MAN 2 Malang by using a composite steel structure. Planned structural components include composite plates, composite beams and steel columns. As for composite plates it is planned to use a floor deck W-1000 and with reinforcement Ø10 – 150 mm as negative reinforcement and Ø8 – 250 mm as shrink reinforcement and with 120 mm thick concrete slabs. Whereas for joists are planned using steel beam profile WF 150 X 100 X 6 X 9. For the main beam it is planned to use profile steel WF 250 X 125 X 6 X 9 and columns with steel profile 350 X 175 X 7 X 11.
