Abstract

Pregnancy is an important period in the lives of women. Because pregnancy is a period of exciting, new life is conceived of a woman is the source of life for you, your spouse and family. Pregnancy is a time that awaited, but for prospective new mothers experience this first cause anxiety. When the woman found herself pregnant, individuals feel a variety of different emotions, happy, nervous, anxious, fearful, anxious, happy. Pregnancy is unusual because it involves changes in physiological, biological, and psychological change a woman's life. The changes cause the anxiety of women who live it, because of the inability of individuals to face new situations. The first newly pregnant mothers feel anxious about the state of the body that are not attractive, worried about the condition of the baby in the womb, worried about the lack of milk production, worried about the possibility of become pregnant again before their time, worried about the birth process. And this study aims to determine anxiety in a first pregnancy. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were four people taken from the existing population. Techniques used in data analysis, descriptive analysis. While in data collection, the researcher using the interview method. Based on research result shows that the changes that occur in the first pregnancy, such as headache becomes more frequent, more taste, often angry, it's easy in some parts of the body sweats, back pain, neck pain, easily tired and weary, the skin turned black because of the hormone. Anxiety that occurs in the first pregnancy, among others, fear of fetal conditions that are still in the womb, fear of physical changes that occur, fear of childbirth, fear of economic conditions, anxiety due to lack of acceptance from the environment, because of concerns of excessive anxiety, anxiety because they believe the myth
