Abstract

Resilience is the ability to survive or cope with any rise in pressure. Basically every teenager has the ability to survive in the face of conditions that are not pleasant. But the resilience of each individual's quality is not the same to that required significant factors is the source of the formation of resilience is one of family harmony. Family harmony is a state where members of the family consisting of father, mother and child there is harmony and harmony without any aggressive action. This study wanted to see if there is a relationship between family harmony with resilience in adolescents. The experiment was conducted on students in grade I, II, and III in SMP 3 Starch based Cluster Random Sampling. Required data is collected in two kinds of family harmony scale is the scale and resilience scale. The independent variables in this study was family harmony and the dependent variable is resilience. From 112 questionnaires collected to test the validity and reliability as well as technical analysis of Karl Pearson Product Moment. Questionnaire validity test results from 87 family harmony items there are 4 points fall, while the resilience questionnaire contained 17 items fall from 62 items. Reliability test results of the relationship between family harmony with resilience in adolescents is alpha> rtabel (> 0.254) with p = 0.001. The results of data analysis showed r = 0.322 with p <0.01 (very significant) this means verified hypothesis, the conclusion was no relationship between family harmony with resilience in adolescents in SMP 3 Starch. This also means that someone who has a harmonious family tend to have good resilience instead of a teenager who has the resilience also have a harmonious family.
