Abstract

Poverty is a very basic problem related to welfare which is influenced by various interrelated factors among these factors namely productivity income, education, unemployment, health, access to goods and services, location, geography, gender and also the location of the environment and limited human resources. Based on Law Number 13 Year 2011 Article 1 paragraph (1 and 2) and Article 2 paragraph (1) concerning Handling of the Poor, one of the government's efforts to accelerate the handling of poverty is the Family Hope Program (PKH) which is one of the programs by the government in the social sector. Sekadau Regency is one of the districts that participated in implementing PKH by looking at the poor communities that still exist in that region. This research used a descriptive approach and qualitative methods so that the explanations presented in this paper can be understood and easily understood by readers. This study uses data sources as fact finding that occur in the field, namely with primary and secondary data sources. Location of the study was at the Social Service for Woman’s Empowerment and Child Protection in Sekadau District. The results of this study indicate that with the assistance of the Family Hope Program by the government given to Very Poor Household in Sekadau District and giving good results to Very Strong Households because it can help to ease their PKH RTSM because it can help to ease their expenses, help send their children to school and also they can treatment in health facilities. The findings in the field are the existence of the Family Hope Program Sekadau District people are very enthusiastic about participating in activities that are directly mentored and given lessons in the family capacity building meeting (P2K2) by the facilitator because it is their duty to educate and teach Very Poor Households so that they knowing aducation and health is very important in life. In addition, the facilitator also taught to use the funds provided to be used in accordance with what was explained from this program. In accordance with the facts that are seen that they are increasingly able to be independent and not dependent on the programs provided, and they have also been able to develop the quality of human resources that they have been able to develop the capacity they have.
