Abstract

Bilateral relations between Indonesia and South Korea have been established since 1966. In 2009 , the minister of forestry Indonesia and the forestry office South Korea signed an mou for cooperation the development of biomass wood of the energy industry. In such cooperation, both countries have political and economic interests. The research uses qualitative descriptive research methods to explain how the implementation of Indonesia-South Korea's Renewable energy development cooperation is to achieve the economic political interests of both countries. Further this study used an international economic approach to politics and the concept of green economy development as a framework for describing and explaining South Korea's investments in timber biomass industries as a strategy Diplomatic relations to improve and strengthen Indonesia-South Korea's exports. As for the result of the study are the interests of both the state of having been reached after the implementation of it cooperation Indonesia has increased exports of timber biomass, Indonesia can conserve forests through sustainable systems, South Korea is able to maintain the availability of raw materials biomass timber for import purposes to its country, South Korea can expand its Investment in Indonesia, and the two countries can demonstrate its ability to play an active role in addressing the issues of global warming and the forestry crisis.
