In Indonesia, English is the first foreign language taught as a compulsory subject at Elementary school, Junior and Senior high schools and university level. In teaching English at Elementary school, the use of teaching media is suggested since it can make teaching learning process easier. The use of teaching media in teaching learning process is to come up the motivation and stimulate students to learn. In teaching learning English, especially to young learner, teaching media are important thing because the students can be more easily catch the lesson and more active in joining the class. It also can motivate and arouse the student’s interest in learning English. The problems of this study were what are the media used by the teacher in teaching English at SDN Langkap 2 Burneh – Bangkalan, what are the media is uses by the teacher, what problems are faced by the teacher in using media, and how the English teacher cope with those problems. The design of this study was descriptive research design. The subject of this study was the English teacher at SDN Langkap 2 Burneh – Bangkalan. She was the only English teacher at SDN Langkap 2 Burneh – Bangkalan. The instruments used in this study were observation and interview. The results of this study showed that the English teacher in SDN Langkap 2 Burneh – Bangkalan used two kinds of media in teaching English. They were visual media and audio media. Visual media used were: pictures, blackboard, and real objects. Tape recorder was one of audio media but it was rarely used. The teacher’s problems dealing with the media were: time allotment in preparing media, lack of ability to make the media more interesting for the students, lack of good cooperation between the English teacher and the staff institutions, and the number of the students in the class. The problems can be solved by preparing the media before starting the lesson, the teacher joined some courses or training to increase her knowledge on how to make more interesting media, cooperation among the staff of institution and the other teachers, and adding facilities in every class to support the teaching and learning process, the last problem could not be solved this year. The proposed solution for the next academic year the teachers and the headmaster will make some agreement that the class size should be smaller, it was about 25-30 students per class.
