Abstract

Based on the needs analysis conducted at SDN 2 Benjor, Tumpang, Malang on October 23, 2019, it was found that learning there already used the 2013 curriculum but there were still limitations in the use of media. Learning uses the media if the material being discussed is difficult to reach by students, only uses the media for the learning process, while for learning to read and count the beginning in class I have not used the media too much so use books for the learning process of reading and arithmetic. Thus, schools need the Think Box media for the thematic learning of Class 1 Elementary Schools. This research aims to develop Kober media products in Class 1 Elementary Schools. In developing a product the researcher uses the ADDIE model development which consists of five stages namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. This research was conducted at SDN 2 Benjor, Tumpang, Malang, which consisted of 13 students. The research was conducted in February 2020. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The researcher develops the development of the media through the validation of material, media and learning experts, the result is that the media can be tested according to the suggestions and comments of the experts. The results of the research showed that: (1) After the researcher has validated the material expert, the media expert and the learning expert it can be said that the Kober media is appropriate to use. This is indicated by the acquisition of a percentage of material experts at 87.5%, media experts and learning experts get a percentage of 93.75 and 87.5%. (2) The use of Kober media can be said to be effective because it gets an average yield of 89.07% and reaches the specified KKM. (3) The Kober Media developed can be said to be interesting, this is indicated by the acquisition of a percentage of the results of the teacher's response of 87.5% and the percentage of the results of the student's response by 90%. Suggestions are made that Kober media is used for grade 1 thematic learning in elementary schools to help students and teachers achieve their learning goals and create interesting thematic learning.
