Abstract

Mount Pundak is a mountain located on the slopes of Mount Welirang which has an altitude of 1585 meters above sea level in the Ds area. Claket, Pacet Subdistrict, Mojokerto Regency, Gunung Pundak are included in the Forest Park area of S. Soerjo (Ardiani, 2012). Vegetation analysis is carried out to find out how large is the distribution of species in an area by making plots and observing the morphology and identification of existing vegetation. The purpose of the study 1) determine the structure of vegetation at various heights (high, medium, low), 2) determine the composition of vegetation types at various heights. The study was conducted in the Mount Pundak Climbing Path via Claket, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java in August 2018. The method used is the pathway method by making 3 points based on the height of point A (1166- 1200 masl), B (1200-1350 masl) ), and C (1475-1537 masl). Based on research on forests at height A, the level of trees is dominated by Close species (M tanarius, L) with an INP of 179,741, forests at height B are dominated by the level of Kukrup (E.spicata) trees with an INP of 85,756, while the height of C is dominated by the level of the Tree of Hand species (S polybtrya) with an INP of 91,839. Canopy strata at height A is dominated by canopy C strata of 113, height B is dominated by canopy B strata with a total of 38, and the height of C strata D canopy is 34. The results of the study concluded that the altitude affects the type of vegetation that dominates an area, this can be caused by factors of soil, temperature, light, water and space where it grows. In addition to variations in species, there are also variations in the types of canopy strata at each height where it grows. Keywords: Pundak Mountain, Vegetation Analysis, INP
