Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of work role stress and work motivation on Turnover Intention and Organizational Citizenship Behavior which is moderated by emotional intelligence. The study involved 79 public health nurses and their networks in Batu City. The analysis of this study uses SEMPLS to determine the effect of each relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables. From the results of the bootstrapping it was concluded that work role stress had no significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior but had a significant effect on Turnover Intention. Work motivation does not have a significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior but has a significant effect on turnover intention. Emotional intelligence is not able to moderate the effect of work role stress on employee outcomes (in this case Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Turnover Intention). Emotional intelligence is able to moderate the effect of work motivation on Organizational Citizenship Behavior but is not able to moderate the effect of work motivation on Turnover Intention. From the research results it is expected that improvements were made in public health management by improving the organizational climate and physical environment as well as task restructuring with job clarity analysis and carrying out puskesmas management on target so nurses and other employees felt comfortable and safe.
