Abstract

This study aims to look at the HDI picture and see how the Influence of Health Index Variables, Education Index, Income, and Inflation on HDI in several countries (Six Countries) in the Asia-Pacific region in 2008-2018. The 6 countries in the Asia-Pacific region to be investigated are Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal and Afghanistan. The results of this study indicate that the data to be used and processed is Panel data. In the processing using the Panel Data Regression method there are 3 models, among others, the Common Effect (CE), Fixed Effect (FE) model, and the Random Effect (RE) model. Several tests were conducted to select the best model between the CE, FE, RE models from the Chow Test results and the Hausman Test showed that the Fixed Effect (FE) model was more suitable for use in this study. Partial Tests From the results of the FE model show that Health Index, Education Index, and Income Variables have a Positive Influence on HDI and Inflation Variables have a Negative Effect on HDI in several Asia-Pacific countries in 2008-2018. The Overall Test in the FE model shows that Health Index Index, Education Index, Income, and Inflation Influence the HDI in several Asia-Pacific countries in 2008-2018.
