Abstract

This study will describe the process and results of learning the Qur'an through the method of tahsin in class X SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. Al-Qur'an learning process in question is every step carried out by the teacher in the course of Al-Qur'an learning activities through the tahsin method. While the results of learning the Qur'an in question is describing the ability of students before and after following the learning of the Qur'an through the method of tahsin. This study aims to describe the process and results of learning the Qur'an through tahsin method in class X students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. This study uses a qualitative research approach with research subjects being teachers and students who follow Al-Qur'an learning through the tahsin method. The data obtained comes from data collected by researchers through observation, interview and documentation techniques. While the data analysis uses the analysis model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Al-Qur'an learning through tahsin method at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang is carried out through several stages including; first, the preliminary activities which were filled with greetings, presenting, reading prayers together and reviewing the material of the Qur'an at the previous meeting. Second, the core activities that contain the presentation of the content of the verses of the Qur'an and the knowledge of recitation, and the practice of reading the Qur'an together and individually through teacher assistance. Third, the closing that is filled with teachers provides reinforcement of the core material that has been delivered previously, then closes with reading the prayer after learning and greetings. The results of this study indicate that the learning activities of the Qur'an through the tahsin method get a good response from class X students. This has a positive impact on the development of students reading ability from non-fluent to fluent. The data is evidenced from the results of student tests before participating in Al-Qur'an learning through the tahsin method, and data on student test results after following Al-Qur'an learning through the tahsin method within one semester.
