Abstract
The increasing child’s criminality, especially in decency crime force the police to do repressive and preventive steps in eradicating. The writer interested to discuss the efforts of Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar efforts to eradicate the crime. In this research, the writer used socio-juridical approach. The research was done in Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar with data sources consisted of interview and documentation. For data processing, the writer used descriptive qualitative analysis. From the research, there could be found that factors caused decency crime by child consisted of internal factors like family, mental, and spirituality and external factors consisted of environment, technology development and mass media. The Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar efforts in doing eradication for decency crimes by children was done through preventive steps like family involvement, illumination, and education to children, and repressive efforts consisted of law eradication and mediation. Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar’s obstacles in the eradication were the lack of human resource compared with the Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar law region, victim’s doubt to report the case, victim’s traumatize, and the difficulties of visum et repertum report. The writer suggest Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar to do new approach in eradicating decency crime by children. For the society, they should support various efforts which were done by Regional Police Headquarters of Blitar to eradicate decency crime by children. Keywords: criminal, decency, child
