Abstract

This study aims to explain the Optimization of Public Services in E-KTP services in Tarakan City. Here the local OPD has the duty to provide E-KTP services as the needs of the local community in accordance with local regulations. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data source used was the results of interviews with several respondents from key formants, relevant stakeholders and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the optimization of the E-KTP service becomes a benchmark in the services provided by the Tarakan City Population and Civil Registry Service apparatus to the Tarakan city community so that the service in issuing the E-KTP is effective and efficient so that the optimization is fully achieved . Likewise, the New Public Service (NPS) serves the Tarakan city community as citizens rather than customers because the community here is the recipient of services provided by the government and is also the subject of various public obligations that have rights and obligations. The Department of Population and Civil Registration of Tarakan City in fulfilling the optimization of E-KTP services is quite good with a percentage of 98%, this is seen from the number of residents who have recorded in December 2018.
