As people who are involved in society, we always communicate with others because having communication makes us able to express our ideas. When people speak usually they switch from one language to another in the conversation that is called code switching. This research was one of code switching use in “Belahan Jiwa” movie. This study aimed to analyze code-switching used by Baby Blue in “Belahan Jiwa” movie. It answered the following research problems: 1) What code switching are used by Baby Blue in “Belahan Jiwa” movie? 2) What kinds of code switching are used by Baby Blue in “Belahan Jiwa” movie? 3) What is the most dominant kind of code switching used by Baby Blue in “Belahan Jiwa” movie? This study used descriptive qualitative design to know the code switching, the kinds of code switching, and the most dominant kind of code-switching used by Baby Blue. Here, the writer used object of the study because he did not want to generalize the result of the research that was used in other movies or the other entertainment programs. Furthermore, documentation as the material analysis. They were also completed with VCD and video player as the tools to collect the data. After analyzing the data, the writer found there were 47 code switching and three kinds of code-switching used by Baby Blue in “Belahan Jiwa” movie. First, Intra-sentential code-switching, those were 14, the switch occurred within a sentence. Second, Inter-sentential code-switching, the switch used by Baby Blue occurred between sentences, those were 25. The last was Emblematic switching, the switch that occurred with involving the tags or exclamation serving as an emblem of the bilingual character, those were 8. And the most dominant kind of code-switching was Inter-sentential code-switching because it was most frequently used by Baby Blue.
