Abstract

The purpose of the study is to obtain how far the effect of liquid organic fertilizer added with an EM4 to the growth of celery plants (Apium graveolus L.) and the result of this study shows that the effect of cow urine as a liquid organic fertilizer added with an EM4 to the growth of celery plants (Apium graveolus L.) is used as a learning source of Biology Department. The parameters that used of this study is height of plant. The types of this study is true experiments by using The Pretest-Posttest Control Design and quantitative as a research approach by using Rancangan Acak Rangkap (RAL) with 5 times treatments and 5 times repetition in the form of kontol+ (pearl fertilizer), the concentration is about 30%, 35%,40%, and 45%. The population of this study is used plants of celery seeds. The sample of this study is plants of celery seeds that are approximately 1 month. The method that used for analyzing the data was One Way Anova with a significant degree is 5% and the researcher did the next test by using LSD. The result of this study shows that 40% concentration that giving to the celery seeds plants is an optimum concentration to the growth of height plant. The conclusion of this study is to obtain the effect of liquid organic fertilizer of cow urine by added EM4 to the growth of celery plants (Apium graveolus L.) in the 40% concentration have an optimum effect. This study can be used as a source of learning process in biology subject of 12th grade on the basic competencies of 3.1.
