Abstract

Misconception is an incorrect understanding of concepts that occur in students based on lack of understanding and misinterpretation of a particular material. This research was conducted to develop a test instrument on the material of Absolute Value Equation in class X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri West Sumbawa. The development method that will be used in this study is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and tested on 33 class X students. The instruments used in this study are validation sheets and test sheets. Based on the results of research that has been done , the validation results for each item were valid and the reliability of the test produced was 0.689 in the appropriate category. The percentage of overall misconceptions that occurred in each indicator concept, arithmetic, symbols and interpretations was 11.36%.
