Abstract

In industry world, companies that have high competitiveness can survive in increase business profits. The key to success for a production system is to have quality or product quality and productivity. Quality product is the ability of a product to perform its functions, in this case which include durability, easy to use, reliability, improved, as well as the value of other attributes. Six sigma is a quality destination that identify the variability in a process in terms of product specifications, so that product quality and the reliability of a product meets the requirements of current customers who are focused on process improvement or improving the quality of a product that is produced in a business process. From the define phase retrieved that defects that exist in the production of bata paving such as porous, cracked and broke. Measure phase the value of DPMO is 155.083,43, sigma level is 2,51. Analyze phase using tree diagrams to analyze the root causes of the factors of defects, namely human, material, methods and machinery. Improve phase using 5W + 1H
