The use of beach sand as a building material is still very rarely used because the salt content of the sand beach more than the river sand, sand gradation pantaipun examination showed that the grains of sand beaches including fine granules. Does this affect the compressive strength of mortar and how much influence. In this study using cube specimens of size 5 x 5 x 5 cm 3, for each variable used in testing each 5 specimens. Tests conducted in this study is the physical properties of cement, sand physical properties, compressive strength of mortar. Mortar compressive strength examination performed at 14 and 28 days by comparison 1SM: 1Psp, 1SM: 2Psp, 1SM: 4Psp, 1SM: 5Psp, and for comparison 1SM: 3 (PSP & Pss), its composition is as follows 1SM: 3Psp, 1SM: 20% PSP: 80% Pss, 1SM: 40% PSP: 60% Pss, 1SM: 60% PSP: 40% Pss, 1SM: 80% PSP: 20% Pss, and 1SM: 100% Pss using a PC and PPC cement , where the compressive strength of cement mortar using a PC greater than the compressive strength of cement mortar using PPC. And the mortar compressive strength at 28 days is greater than the age of 14 days.
