Abstract

Productivity means a comparison between the results achieved (output) with the overall resources used (input). By knowing productivity, it will be known how efficient the input sources have been saved. The purpose of this study are: 1) Identifying aspects that affect the improvement of productivity and environmental performance. 2) Measuring the level of productivity and environmental performance in the company 3) Arranging alternative solution choices based on the goals and targets and methods that have been determined and 4) Providing suggestions for improvement by choosing the best alternative choices that can increase productivity and environmental performance. This research was conducted at PT. VALE Indonesia Tbk, the largest nickel producer in Indonesia and accounts for 5% of the world's nickel supply. The results showed that the results of the company's environmental performance analysis showed that PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. there are deviations obtained from the measurement results between BMAL standards and the results of sample analysis in the laboratory. EPI (Environmental Process Indicator) index, which is the result of multiplication between weights and deviations, while the EPI calculation results above show that the total environmental performance index is 0.840251. Based on the comparison of productivity levels, alternative 1 has a higher level of productivity compared to alternative 2. Estimated results of each alternative's contribution to the EPI level, alternative 2 has the highest percentage level compared to other alternatives. the results of the calculation of benefit cost ratio alternative 1 is 1.3 greater than alternative 2 which is 1.05, with an alternative productivity level 1 of 318.76% and alternative 2 of 315.74%
