Abstract

Mental workload shows the level of mental needs of a person in completing the demands of his work. In carrying out activities, workers not only feel the physical workload alone, but involve mental workload. Mental workload is work that involves thinking processes from the brain. This study aims to analyze the mental workload of Nurse Seruni General Hospital, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. A nurse has a great responsibility in treating paiesn. The difference in working hours is one factor where the onset of stress or frustration. This causes low productivity and low quality of work. The subjects of this study were all Seruni Nurse units consisting of 12 respondents. Mental workload analysis using the Ratting Scale Mental effort (RSME) method and the NASA-TLX method. Based on the RSME Method Analysis it is known that shift 3 (night) has the highest mental workload than the other shifts. the results of mental workload measurements using the NASA-TLX method Temporal Demand and Physical Demand factors are considered dominant in influencing mental workload.
