Abstract

This research was conducted on July 18 to September 18 2017 at the green house of the forestry University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The media used are soil and cocopeat with planned ratios, namely: M1 (cocopeat + soil 1: 4); M2 (cocopeat + soil 2: 3); M3 (cocopeat + soil 3: 2); M4 (cocopeat + soil 4: 1). KNO3 fertilizer is applied after the seeds germinate. The specified treatment, namely: K1 (10 grams / plant); K2 (20 grams / plant); K3 (30 grams / plant). The research data were analyzed by variance (F test) according to the factorial randomized block design (RAKF) and if it had significant effect it was followed by a 5% duncan test with the aim of knowing the difference in effect between treatments. The best average number of leaves was shown M1K1 treatment with the final result of observation 13.80 composition of planting media: Cocopeat + Soil (1: 4) + KNO3 0.02 g / seedling. The best average seedling height was shown by the combination of M1K2 treatment with the composition of the planting medium: Cocopeat + Soil (1: 4) + KNO¬3 0.04 g / seedlings with a mean height of 17.72 cm. The largest diameter diameter at the end of the observation was shown the combination of M4K2 treatment with the composition of the planting medium: Cocopeat + Soil (4: 1) + KNO3 0.04 g / seedling. root growth of saga seedlings (A pavonina L) especially for M4K3 treatment had a very significant effect because this treatment had the highest mean of 20.26 cm, with the composition of the planting medium: Cocopeat + Soil (4: 1) + KNO3 0.06 g / seedling. the best wet weight is indicated by the combination of M2K1 treatment: Cocopeat + Soil (2: 3) + KNO3 0.02 gr / seedling with seed weight 49.35 gr. shows a good dry weight indicated by a combination of M2K3: Cocopeat + Soil (2: 3) + KNO3 0.06 gr / seedling with seed weight 12.75 gr.
