Abstract

In learning local content at Darun Muhmin School Satun Thailand, which is developing regional art in the form of fabric embroidery with alphabetical patterns, this learning aims to teach students to recognize letters that internationally recognized. So it needs to be expressed the uniqueness in this learning process. This study aims: (1) The implementation of learning local content alphabetical patterns on fabric embroidery in class IV Darul Muhmin School Satun Thailand. (2) The advantages of learning local content of the alphabet pattern on fabric embroidery in class IV Darun Muhmin School Satun Thailand. (3) The lack of learning the local content of the alphabet pattern on fabric embroidery in class IV Darun Muhmin School Satun Thailand. By means of qualitative research design with a descriptive model, this current research was conducted. The grade IV of Darul Muhmin School Satun Thailand in the academic year 2019/2020 was selected as the data source about 30 students. This research was conducted in July 2019, the research instruments employ an observation sheet, interview guides, documentation and video analysis of the learning process of local content of the alphabet pattern on fabric embroidery in class IV Darun Muhmin School Satun Thailand based on the Lesson plan. The results showed (1) Lesson plans made for the learning process guided by the curriculum and school provisions and the learning process was following the lesson plan that had been made. (2)In the learning process used learning media and the availability of embroidery materials to support the learning process as well as the existence of an assessment sheet prepared by the teacher to assess the learning process. (3) In a learning activity, there is no evaluation, follow-up, assignment of ongoing tasks, and the lesson plans made by the teacher there is no opening, whilst, and closing activities. It can be inferred for the research finding that 1) There is a lesson plan that is made and the learning process was following the lesson plan; 2) The learning process has used learning media, adequate embroidery materials and the existence of an assessment; 3) There is no evaluation, follow-up, and assignment.
