Abstract

Background : The number of ARI in toodlers still clasified as 10 highest disease in Malang. The government launched vitamin A suplementation program in order to reduce infection incidence in toodlers, include ARI. Previous studies shown that routine vitamin A admistration prevent incidence ARI. Objective : Knew the effect vitamin A supplementation to incidence of ARI in toodlers at Dinoyo Community Health Center Malang. Methods : Observational analytic study with a sample of 116 toodlers aged 12-59 months in the working area of Dinoyo Community Health Center, Malang. Sample divided into 2 groups which is received vitamin A routinely and non-routinely. Analyzed using Chi-square. Administration of vitamin A and incidence of ARI in sample were calculate with epidemiological formula. Results : Administration of vitamin A in sample of Dinoyo Community Health Center 2019 were 80,2%, also the incidence of ARI in sample of Dinoyo Community Health Center were 36,2%. The result from data analysis obtained obtain significance value of 0.00 (p <0.05), hypothesis there was an effect of giving vitamin A to the incidence of ARI was accepted. Conclusion : There is an effect of giving Vitamin A to the incidence of ARI in toodlers Dinoyo Community Health Center, Malang.
