Abstract

Macrofauna is a soil animal that has a body size of 2-20 mm andmicrofauna with a size of 0.02-0.2 mm. The existence of macro and microfauna in the soil if the food source is sufficient, then the development and productivity of the soil macro and microfauna will be good and can also have a positive impact on soil fertility or soil health if land management is carried out correctly. This study aims to determine differences in the amount of macro and microfauna diversity in organic and inorganic sweet orange (Citrus sinensis L.) plantations in Punten village, Bumiaji district, Batu city. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. This research was conducted for 2 days using pitfall trap and hard sorting methods at 2 stations. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Shannon Winner Diversity Index Calculation analysis. The results showed that there were differences in the index value of soil macro-diversity and microfauna in organic and inorganic plantations. The index value of macroeconomic diversity and soil microfauna in organic plantations is 1.93 and 0.04. While in inorganic plantations are 1.81 and (-0.63). Macro and soil microfauna found in organic plantations consist of 3 classes, 6 orders, 8 families, and 12 genera with a total of 419 soil macrofauna. While soil microfauna consists of 2 classes, 3 orders, 3 families, and 3 genera with a total of 7 soil microfauna. Macro and soil microfauna in inorganic orange plantations consisting of 2 classes, 5 orders, 6 families, and 9 genera with a total of 118 soil macrofauna. Whereas the land microfauna found consisted of 2 classes, 2 orders, 2 families, and 2 genera with a total of 2 soil microfauna. Evenness index (Evennes (E) macro and soil microfauna in organic plantations are (-0.77) and 0.03. While in inorganic plantations are (-0.82) and (-0.91). The Dominance index of macro and microfauna in organic plantations is 5.38 and 3.5, and in inorganic plantations are 5.26 and 3.
