Abstract

The role of PPKn teachers in fostering students' social responsibility attitudes is the actions taken by teachers in shaping the character of an intelligent and responsible generation of the nation. Guiding students' attitudes is carried out through academic and non-academic programs. Education through academics is done by giving assignments by gathering on time and emphasizing responsibility. The formation or planning of learning materials and learning strategies must also consider the formation of the student's character. student character development must be carried out continuously and cannot be instantaneous and there must be supervision from all parties to remember. This research aims to measure the level of student responsibility and identify the attitude of responsibility that needs to be developed. Data collection is done through direct observation, documenting activities and conducting interviews with informants. Data were analyzed qualitatively through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The final stage is to test the validity of the data with the Technical Triangulation procedure. The results showed that the design applied to foster the character of responsibility, the design to strengthen the attitude of social responsibility was designed in a sustainable manner both through academic and non-academic learning as well as all academic community members in schools.
