Red Pepper (Capsicum annum) is a plant which is easy to be planted whether in low or high ground. One pest attacked red pepper was fruit flies. To overcome the fruit flies pest in red pepper, there needed environmental friendly and effective control, one of them was using attraktant metil eugenol from aromatic plant like basil (Ocimum), Eugenia caryophillata and Cosmos caudatus. The research aimed to find out how effective each aromatic plant extract and trap tool type in pulling was fruit flies and combination between both treatment in controlling fruit flies. The resarch was done in Experimental garden of University of Muhammadiyah Malang, while the research time was from April 15 to July 22, 2009. The research used factorial randomized block design with two factors. First factor was extract of aromatic plant, second factor was type of trap tool. The parameter were plant height, amount of fruit flies, attack intensity of fruit flies, data was analyzed by ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s 5%. The research result showed there’s no interaction between trap tool type and aromatic plant extract to the intensity of fruit flies in red pepper plant. There was just real influence in pest intensity in type 2 and type 3 trap tools in age 57, 60, and 78 days while in clove aromatic plant extract to intensity of fruit flies attack in 66 days.
