Abstract

The condition of the industry sector that is occurring among Indonesian people is currently experiencing significant achievements. This achievement can be seen from the number of companies engaged in manufacturing ranging from small to large scale. The most important element in a manufacturing company is the production department. If the production process goes well, it will have a good impact on the company. But in reality there are still many problems found in the production section in the form of waste. Waste that occurs is a waste of time, starting from the ineffectiveness of workers in processing a product that causes late production deadlines, then the waste of energy is the lack of labor productivity that causes less than the maximum number of products produced. Based on the results of research using the Borda count method (BCM), it is obtained waste that causes reduced work efficiency. Obtained the most dominant cause in influencing the reduction in work efficiency is waste unnecessary movement. From the analysis using a fishbone diagram, it is found that the cause of unnecessary movement waste is careless workers putting equipment after using it.
