Abstract
Permana, Agung. 2010. A Corelation Between Typical Antipsychotic Therapy And Relapse of Schizophrenia in RSJ dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang in the period of October to December 2009. Final Assignment, Medical Faculty, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Advisors: (1) dr. Moch. Bahrudin, SpS, (2) dr. Iwan Sys, SpKJ. Background: The relapse incidence of schizophrenia is high enough. It is higher among patients treated with typical antipsychotic therapy. Objectives: To identify corelation between typical antipsychotic therapy and the relapse incidence of schizophrenia in RSJ dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang in the period of October to December 2009. Methods: The method was descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. It used simple random sampling. The samples of this research was 96 patients, which analised by chi square. Results: Among 96 samples, there was 37,5% samples at the age of 25 – 34 years old. Mostly was male (56,2%), 42,7% samples has been given the typical antipsychotic therapy and there was 34,3% samples had relapsed. Value of p was 0.000 Conclusion: There was a significant corelation between the typical antipsychotic therapy and therelapse incidence of schizophrenia in RSJ dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang period from October to December 2009.
