Language elements which made reference and related in semantic way called cohesion. By cohesion, a discourse become unite: all parts formed discourse, tied another part in close and natural. Cohesion didn’t come by itself, but created in formal way by language tool which called cohesion sign, like pronoun, demonstrative, conjunction, and repetition words. Repetition was sound, syllable, or part of sentence which was considered important to give pressure in fit context. Jawa Pos is one of daily newspaper presented various discourse, news, advertisement, story, etc. Especially in Sunday, Jawa Pos published “Wayang Durangpo” discourse in its column, written by Sujiwo Tejo. “Wayang Durangpo” decorated with unique figure to describe the contain of Wayang Story which was written. Problems statement in this research consisted of (1) repetition lexical cohesion in “Wayang Durangpo” discourse in Jawa Pos Daily Newspaper February-April 2010 edition and (2) repetition lexical cohesion function in “Wayang Durangpo” discourse at Jawa Pos daily newspaper February-April 2010 edition. Research method used in this research was qualitative method, since the data consisted of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences in “Wayang Durangpo” discourse. The data sourced from Jawa Pos Daily Newspaper February-April 2010 Edition. Data collection technique used was documentation technique. According to data analysis in the research discuss about repetition lexical cohesion in “Wayang Durangpo” discourse in Jawa Pos daily newspaper February-April 2010 edition, there could be concluded that repetition lexical cohesion in “Wayang Durangpo” discourse consisted of epizeuksis repetition (direct word repetition), anaphor repetition (word repetition in the beginning of sentences), epistroph repetition (word repetition in the end of sentence), mesodiplosis repetition (repetition in the middle of sentence) and anadiplosis (word repetition in the end of sentence which became the first words in the next sentence). Repetition lexical cohesion function used in “Wayang Durangpo” in Jawa Pos daily newspaper February-April 2010 edition aimed to give pressure and bolder in a context fit to describe similarity, difference, role, result, position, and interaction.
