Abstract

The process of making batik tulis is include stage of making patterns, drawing a malam batik, coloring fabric of batik and shedding malam batik. In stage of making patterns dan drawing a malam batik needed special skills, where these skills have been difficult to find. To solve this problem, a machine was made to replace duty of batik maker in making batik pattern dan drawing a malam batik. Previously, a CNC Plotter Batik machine was made. This machine is expected to solve that problem. However, this machine that has been made is still has some weekness. The weekness is construction that not sturdy, unprecision, squeaking, over vibrating and this machine is not stable when operated. This research aims to produce a CNC Plotter batik sturdier construction, more stable, more precision, have minimal vibration when operated and resolve possibility of deflection materials. The method used in this design is Pahl and Beitz method, in this research is calculating deflection, work torque and show the results of image machine work. The result of this design is CNC Plotter batik machine with dimensions 500 mm x 450 mm x 300 mm and 300 mm x 300 mm of working area, using v-slot aluminium profile frame and everman belt drive transmission also use a stepper motor Nema 17HS4401 for motor driver.
