Abstract

Teaching strategy is a strategy which used by the teacher to teching the class. In order to manage the class, a teacher developed various strategy to make the students adjust with the material. Those various teaching strategy can be defined into five, Direct strategy, Indirect strategy, Interactive strategy, Experiential strategy, and Self-learning strategy. Ron Clark is a best selling author and speaker in topic of inspiring educators. He is the founder of Ron Clark Academy which is a non-profit academy that follows a unique curriculum. This research were conducted to analyze the teaching strategy in a movie “The Ron Clark Story” as well as to find out the way Ron Clark used it to manage the class. Moreover, descriptive qualitative research design was being used by the researcher to explain the finding of this research. The object is the transcript of the movie as well as the data were collected by document analysis. This research used human instrument, means that the researcher as the main instrument. The finding showed that there are 6 data of teaching strategy used by Ron Clark to manage the class. Furthermore, this research also mentioned some classroom management in the movie. Those classroom management rules combined with teaching strategy to reach the goal of teaching and learning process.
