Abstract

Coloring is widely used in practical work usually uses synthetic dyes, but this is very limited and expensive. For the use of natural dyes in making preparations is still rarely done, it is necessary to develop natural dyes from plants that are around us. The purpose of this study to analyze of henna extract (Lawsonia inermis L.) leaves on the quality of the natural coloring of the rub preparations. This type of research is a real experiment (true experiment) use The Posttest Only Control Group Design. The concentrations used are 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% and monitoring without staining. This study consisted of 24 samples of rabbit femur bone preparations with 6 treatments. The preparations are issued based on the quality given the clarity of the preparations and the color contrast. The data analysis technique used is Kruskall-Wallis and Mann-Whitney. The results showed that there was a difference between henna extract (Lawsonia inermis L.) as a natural dye on the quality of the rabbit femur bone rub (Oryctolagus cuniculus) preparation. The best concentration in coloring the bone preparation of rabbit femur using natural dyes extract of henna leaf at a concentration of 60% and 80% had the highest average score of 2.30. The results of this study are preparatory media that can be used as a source of learning biology for class XI about learning materials for structures and cells making up networks in the motion system.
