Abstract

The background of the holding of religious extracurricular activities at Lumajang Tompokersan Islamic Elementary School as a forum for students to develop their talents and interests. Qira’ah and tartil extracurricular activities at Lumajang Tompokersan Islamic Elementary School as a forum for students to develop their talents and interests in improving the reading skills of the al-Qur’an. This study aims to: 1) To identify the planning of extracurricular activities based on full day school in SD Islam Tompokersan Lumajang. 2) To describe the implementation of full day school-based extracurricular activities in Lumajang Islamic Tompokersan Elementary School. 3) To describe the evaluation of full day school-based extracurricular activities at Lumajang Islamic Tompokersan Elementary School. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Technical analysis used by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed: 1) Extracurricular planning for qira’ah and tartil in Lumajang Tompokersan Islamic Elementary School did not yet exist in writing and formatted from school institutions. 2) The implementation of qira’ah and tartil religious extracurricular activities is carried out by scheduling routinely for once a week, there are 3 things to do, namely: introduction, core and closing. 3) Evaluation of qira’ah extracurricular learning activities is carried out by extracurricular teachers at each meeting, evaluating it classically, in groups, and in oral form. Evaluation of tartil extracurricular learning activities is carried out at each meeting individually in oral and written form. Conducting both evaluations during extracurricular activities.
