Abstract

Pencak silat is a material on the Physical Education subject which is considered exciting but difficult for students to learn. Lack of interest, and understanding of students in learning pencak silat makes students have difficulty in understanding pencak silat material, besides that it is also because the material in pencak silat is too small and monotonous making students lazy in understanding pencak silat. As experienced by students in class V MI Muhammadiyah Tumpuk Trenggalek. Based on the results of the interviews, some fifth grade students did not understand the physical health learning learning of the pencak silat theme as a proud Indonesian nation of the Indonesian sub-theme, a cultured nation, as evidenced by 19 students of 12 children lacking understanding of pencak silat material studied in class. This study aims to help students understand pencak silat material in grade IV SD / MI. The research and development model used is the ADDIE model. There are 5 stages of research and development procedures, namely the analysis of potential problems, data collection to be developed into products, product design, product design realization, product evaluation. Retrieval The data uses observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student questionnaire responses in the use of media, using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of research and development show that the use of pacing puppet media is appropriate for use in the learning of pencak silat material. This is evidenced by the results of the validation of several experts with a value of 79% media expert, 89% material expert validation and 85% teacher response questionnaire results, and student responses to the media became more active, innovative and interested in learning compared to before using the proven learning media supported by the results of the questionnaire responses of students from class V showing the results of percentages with a value of 90.52%. The use of pacing puppet media received a positive response from students and was very appropriate to be used in the learning of pencask silat material. The results of the research and development of the media of pacing puppets are suggested to be used as a reference media in the learning of the Physical Education pencak silat theme as a proud Indonesian Indonesian sub-theme of Indonesia, a nation that is cultured in grade V SD / MI and also as a means of helping teachers teach students to be more active, creative , excited and fun.
