Abstract

The current condition of Indonesia is preparing for the entry of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and 21st century skills. In preparing for this the Government created a program to Strengthen Character Education in an effort to develop character education in schools regulated in Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017. Government's efforts through Schools and educators are expected to create next-generation students who not only have cognitive intelligence, but must be able to implement good moral values so they have good character and are able to compete at the international level. So it is necessary to analyze the implementation of strengthening the school culture-based character education. This study aims to describe: (1) Procedures for planning a KDP based school culture program. (2) Implementation of KDP based on school culture. (3) The main values and character sub-values contained in the implementation of school culture-based KDP in SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu, (4) Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of school culture-based KDP in SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu. The method of this research is descriptive research approach and qualitative research type. The results of the study are described in the form of words instead of numbers. Data sources in the study are the principal and teachers. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used in the study is the analysis of the Miles and Huberman models. The results showed: (1) Procedure for planning KDP program based on the culture of “Mosa Patri Religi Go To Iman” in SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu has carried out long and appropriate process according to the KDP Concept and Guidelines book (2) Implementation of school culture-based KDP activities in SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu consisted of Morning hand shake, Flags Ceremony, Religious activity, Scouts, Saber Sampah, Commemorating World Autism Day. (3) The main values and sub-values of the characters that emerge consist of the main characters Nationalism, religious, mutual cooperation, integrity, and independence (4) Supporting factors in the implementation of KDP have been pursued by conducting synergic cooperation with all components involved. The inhibiting factor is because some students at SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu have special needs, sometimes they don't want to follow the agenda of activities so there must be more adjustments.
