Abstract

Network technology is developing so fast that it affects the needs of the network. For now, the thing that is still difficult to do is maintenance and control of the network. Therefore, technological developments in the field of networking have a new evolution namely Software Defined Network (SDN). SDN is a new paradigm in terms of designing, managing and implementing networks to support network needs and innovation. In this study, we will detecting Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) on a network that is simulated in Mininet emulator using tree topology. For detected the probability of occurrence from datapath, port, source IP, destination IP and protocol using the entropy method. DDoS packages will be detected and the entropy result will be ≥ 1. From these variables, it can be seen that the number of packet in and packet out on the network was successfully sent, the results of entropy and the time of detection of an attack.
