Abstract

The basic problem of concern in this study is the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, as well as the relatively low yield of flowering plants. Liquid organic fertilizers with basic ingredients of vegetables, sprouts, and bamboo shoots as well as the right concentrates have an important role in increasing the age of the harvest and increasing the production of flower cabbage, while managing control using liquid organic fertilizer compared to without using fertilizer (Bahrun and Hanisar, 2015). This study aims to determine the response of applications such as liquid organic fertilizer and measuring of vermicompost fertilizer on the production of flower cabbage plants. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. When the research was conducted for ± 3 December 2018-February 2019. The design used was a group design with 2 factorial and 12 combinations of preparations, each of which was repeated 3 times so that a total of 144 plants were given. The variables chosen were plant length, number of leaves, initial flower appearance, flower wet weight, and flower diameter. The results showed that the use of various kinds of liquid organic fertilizer that is recommended on flower cabbage plants is very important for variable plant length, early emergence of flowers, dry flower weight and flower diameter. Liquid organic fertilizer with basic ingredients contains a relatively higher value than the type of organic fertilizer on all variables. A dose of 400 g / vermicompost fertilizer plant showed a relatively higher value than the type of dose given to all study variables
