Abstract
The home automation system is a necessity for certain groups of people, especially for those who often leave home or are obliged to care for disabled or elderly family members. So that the automatic bell is one aspect of the home automation system. This system will sound automatically when it detects the presence of guests and sends the guest photo via the telegram application. In order to function, the bell system must automatically be able to detect objects in front of the door. So it takes a human face detection using the Viola Jones method to determine that the one right in front of the door is a human. The results obtained from this study are that the Viola Jones motor is able to detect human faces with a maximum distance of 200 cm and a slope of less than 70º and more than 120º.
