Abstract

This study discusses the production of bean sprouts manually in the sprinkling of bean sprouts because bean sprouts are regularly watered 5 times a day or 4-5 hours intervals for 5 days. While bean sprouts plant itself has an ideal planting media humidity condition that is 85-100% and the ideal room temperature is 25 ° C-27 ° C. So to make it easier to do the watering, an IoT-based bean sprout culture was made with a telegram notification system. This tool serves as a controller for watering bean sprouts and as a temperature reader. This tool will work when the humidity sensor reads the condition of the planting media below the setpoint, then gives the command to raspberry pi to turn on the water pump to water the plants and the temperature sensor will continue to monitor the temperature in the planting box. The results of reading the two sensors will be displayed on the 16x2 lcd installed outside the planting box and sent to the user's telegram so that the user knows the current status of the plant. The test results show if the device can send humidity and temperature conditions to the planting media box via the application of telegram messenger messages and watering automatically when humidity conditions are below 85% ..
